Who Are We?
Juice Head is overwhelmingly plant-based, gluten-free, organic when possible, and always uses 100% whole fruits and vegetables from scratch. Nothing processed, nothing yucky. Simply said, we are an “I want to eat healthy and feel great” type place, offering yummies like our Super Greens juice made with locally-grown wheat grass, or our superfood Kale Quinoa Salad with spinach, organic quinoa and fresh-juiced, house-made lemon dressing. Whether you want a quick smoothie on the go, a growler of fresh juice for your fridge or a full sit-down delicious meal, we are truly delighted to offer great-tasting, super-nutritious juices, smoothies and foods – if your favorite thing is not on our menu, just let us know! …we have fun with what we do and look forward to being of service to you in any capacity. For several years, we dreamed of opening a fun business in New Jersey after moving home from Ohio. I recall saying, “Corporate jobs were not working well for me. I was stressed out, eating poorly and very overweight. We dreamed of starting our own business.” Missing the fulfillment and fun of Ohio’s vegetarian restaurant TofuTurnup, they longed for something to replace the purpose and passion they once had. Coincidentally, I watched the documentary Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead and was inspired to start juicing the very next day. “I started losing weight and very quickly felt better than ever, my energy levels went sky high!”
Days later they discovered a sandwich shop for sale outside Trenton and it dawned on them to jump right in. We explain, “Nothing changes if nothing changes, and it was simply a now or never type of thing for us.” Once that sandwich shop was officially their own, six weeks later they opened their doors to family and friends – and Juice Head was born! They poured every waking moment, every ounce of energy into their business, and to date – with a growing Juice Head family – are working hard, having a great time and offering fantastically yummy juices, smoothies and foods to their customers and new friends.
Along with their two little cats and two spoiled rotten dogs, we love calling New Jersey home – and look forward to meeting you at Juice Head!
